Panel of Writers Kamala Liyanage (PhD, Keio -Tokyo) is a Senior Professor in Political Science, attached to the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. She has experience in teaching, researching, and training mainly in fields of political science, human rights, gender studies and conflict resolution for nearly four decades. She has published over 60 books, manuals, articles, chapters and monographs on her areas of expertise. She further contributes her services as an activist to promote gender equality and good governance. Ramani Jayasundere (PhD, University of Colombo, Sri Lanka) works in development, in the areas of law, justice and gender. She has over two decades of experience working on the promotion of gender equality, alternative dispute resolution, and access to justice. Her PhD is in women's equality in mediation processes. Rose Wijeyesekera (MPhil, Colombo) is a Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Law, University of Colombo, Sri Lanka. Her work includes teaching, research and training in law relating to women's rights and children's rights. 15
