The government is operating the Community Child Care Center (the Ministry of Health and Welfare), the After School Academy (the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family) for children from fourth to 9th grade, and the After School Care Class in Elementary School (the Ministry of Education) to provide care services for children who do not have someone to look after them after school. In particular, the number of Community Child Care Centers in 2016 was 4,107 and a total of 106,668 children received the after school care service.
