Aside from issues on children’s rights and racism, most of the media interviews this year focused on the COVID-19 pandemic. It has affected the lives of many around the world, including Malaysia, causing numerous changes to livelihoods. Various media agencies also interviewed SUHAKAM on the general state of human rights in Malaysia. SUHAKAM was also interviewed by various media agencies on the general state of human rights in the country. 8. COLLABORATION WITH THE INTERNATIONAL FEDERATION OF JOURNALISTS (IFJ) AND NATIONAL UNION OF JOURNALISTS MALAYSIA (NUJ) The National Union of Journalists Malaysia (NUJ), the International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) and several media organisations such as the Sabah Journalists Association, Federation of Sarawak Journalists Association, Malaysiakini and CSOs in Malaysia worked together on a project entitled ANNUAL REPORT 2020 57
