1.5.3. to collect information about participants;
1.5.4. to schedule and announce appointment hearings;
1.5.5. Evaluate whether the participant meets the relevant requirements;
1.5.6. to review and resolve complaints related to the registration and selection process;
1.5.7. to announce the results of the selection process to the public;
1.5.8. to nominate the applicant with the highest qualifications to the Standing Committee on Legal
Affairs after discussing the nomination at the meeting;
1.5.9. to submit the nomination materials to the archives of the Secretariat of the State Great Khural
in accordance with relevant procedures.
1.6. The working group will be provided with working conditions by the Standing Committee on Legal
Affairs, and the Secretariat of the Standing Committee on Legal Affairs will provide technical and
organizational assistance.
1.7. A meeting of the working group shall be considered valid upon the presence of a majority of its
members, and unless otherwise provided in this regulation, the issue shall be resolved by a majority
vote of the members present at the meeting.
1.8. Except as otherwise provided by law or this regulation, the Working Group shall establish its own
rule and procedure.
1.9. In case of a high level of preparedness and necessity to protect public health in accordance with the
Law on Disaster Protection, the Working Group may decide to conduct the stages specified in this
regulation in a simplified procedure and virtually.
Two. Requirements for the Commissioner of the Commission and in charge of National Preventive
Mechanism against torture
2.1. As stated in the Law on the National Human Rights Commission of Mongolia, a candidate for a
Commissioner of the Commission must meet the following requirements:
2.1.1. has high legal qualification;
2.1.2. has to experience in the field of human rights protection;
2.1.3. reached the age of 35.
2.2. As stated in the Law on the National Human Rights Commission of Mongolia, a candidate for a
Commissioner in charge of National Preventive Mechanism against torture must meet the following
requirements:
2.2.1. in the field of law;
2.2.2. in the field of criminal proceedings;
2.2.3. in the field of human rights protection.
