Summary of Activities In this section, we provide a brief overview on the activities that were undertaken in this reporting period to progress the implementation of the Regional Action Plan. Bi-Annual Meetings The Working Group met twice over the past year, in May and November 2024, to monitor the progress of the Regional Action Plan. During these sessions, the group evaluated the success of the HRDs capacity development program that took place from 1-30 April, 2024 and discussed the creation of a dashboard to track data and report on the situation of HRDs in the Asia Pacific region. The Working Group identified the challenge of the Right to Defend Rights Tool (R2DRT) not being widely known among NHRIs. To address this, they proposed bringing R2DRT to the attention of NHRI Chairpersons within the Working Group to seek their support in recommending the tool to their respective institutions.
