The Philippines is a signatory to the 2008
Convention on the Rights of Persons with
Disabilities (CRPD) and reaffirmed its
commitment on June 12, 2018. This means that
by ratifying the CRPD, we are under the
obligation to put in place a full range of
measures to ensure that people with disabilities:
• Have the same rights as everyone
• Are treated fairly and equally
• Are not discriminated against
