end of 2019 and the covid-19 epidemic which started in the beginning of 2020. These unforeseen
circumstances has impacted the implementation timeline of activities. Despite this, the Unit managed to
re-strategies and proceed with implementation where possible.
Shortage of staff still remains a challenge for the Unit. With the Office staff reshuffling exercise that was
finalized and approved this year, the Unit now has 2 permanent staff2 (as opposed to 3 last time) with 1
part time staff funded under the Rollout Project which finishes in September 2020. We are aware however
that 1 additional senior staff has been approved for the next financial year 2020/2021.

under 3 outcomes as provided in the Office Strategic Plan 2016-2020 and as noted in the Unit’s Budget
Outcome for this financial year.
