1.3. SPECIALIST CAPACITY PROJECTS
Within available resources, the APF responds to requests from individual member institutions for the
delivery of specialist capacity projects. In a recent survey 63% of responding members indicated
that high-level dialogues for NHRI leadership on governance of NHRIs was a highly important service
provided by the APF.
As part of its 2015–2020 strategic planning process the APF is considering the development of evaluation
processes for specialist capacity building projects and how better to integrate these activities into the
monitoring and evaluation framework.
During the reporting period the following activities were undertaken.
Myanmar
From 2-6 September 2013, the APF travelled to Yangon, Myanmar to work with the Myanmar National
Human Rights Commission in developing its first strategic plan for the period 2014 to 2016. The strategic
plan was subsequently adopted by the Commission.
