through the development of (550) resource rooms until 2009, distributed among the various directorates of education in the Kingdom. As for the education of blind students, there are two specialized schools for the education of blind students in the capital Amman, where they include primary and secondary education stages. With regard to the students with hearing disabilities, there are (10) schools serving more than (800) students, as of 2009. These schools provide specialized academic education for this category of society. Good offices are exerted to integrate students with physical mobility in public schools, as the Ministry of Education is gradually preparing schools in environmental terms. In the same context, the Government signed an agreement with the Al-Hussein Society for Physical Disability to transfer students who finish their primary education stage offered by the Society to the schools of the Ministry in order to realize the integration in education, which contributes to the environmental harmonization of schools to which children are transferred, and, at the same time, train teachers in those schools on how to deal positively with children with disabilities. As for students with medium and severe mental disabilities, which are under the aegis of the Ministry of Social Development, the number of special schools reached (14) schools distributed in various regions of the Kingdom.
