The HCAPD formed the Women's Committee, which is a committee composed of women with different disabilities with the aim of promoting and protecting the rights of women with disabilities and empowering and developing them, in line with the provisions of the International Convention, which calls for the need for participation of women in various spheres of public life, as well as educating and acquainting women and those around them with how to avoid the situations of exploitation, violence and abuse. Based on the above, the following observations were recorded: Efforts should be concerted to address violence against persons with disabilities. Therefore, the NCHR, in cooperation with civil society institutions, organized awareness and educational programs for the purposes of changing stereotypes about this category of society; not only to educate the community, but also to involve persons with disabilities themselves in these communities and exercises aimed at making them aware of their rights, so as not to be exposed to exploitation, violence or abuse. Seventh: Protecting the Integrity of the Person The Public Health Law No. (47) of 2008 provides for the need to encourage and enhance patterns and behaviors of healthy lifestyles, including physical activities. No medical treatments and surgeries may be implemented in any form whatsoever without the consent of patient or his/ her legal representatives.
