The Decree-Law No. 14 of 2002 regarding the exercise of political rights and its amendments regulate the provisions of this stage. Article 15 of the law states that: "The date for the general elections for the Council of Representatives shall be determined by a royal order, and the order must be issued at least forty-five days before the designated date for conducting the elections. The date for supplementary elections shall be determined by a decision from the Minister of Justice and Islamic Affairs, and the decision must be issued at least thirty days before the designated date for conducting the elections. The order or decision must include the date of opening and closing the nomination process...". Furthermore, Article 16 of the same law states that: "The royal order or ministerial decision calling voters to participate in the referendum or elections shall be announced by publishing it in the Official Gazette." 3.
