As of 30 June 2024, there were 50 women in held immigration detention facilities across the onshore
detention network (including Alternative Places of Detention (APODs)).34 Women made up 5.73% of the
total detained population and the largest proportion of women were detained at VIDC (27 women), PIDC
(6 women) and BRP (6 women).35
