Commission completed investigations into 100 cases while the rest are still
being investigated. 82.23% cases have yet to be resolved mainly due to the
Commission’s dependence on the relevant agencies to provide feedback on
the allegations; certain cases which required in-depth investigations by the
Commission; and several complicated complaints that can only be resolved
through the amendments of laws and/or changes in government’s policies.
Orang Asli groups submitted a memorandum on several issues pertaining to Orang Asli
in Pahang, Johor and Kelantan to the Chairman of the Commission,
Tan Sri Razali Ismail on 7 December.
