                 Several meetings held with Secretary Human Rights & Minorities Affairs Department, Punjab regarding the enactment of the Punjab Transgender Bill and other human rights issues particularly minorities’ rights. Meeting with Ombudsman Punjab to appoint a focal person for complaints - an advisor was appointed as a focal person. Meeting with Chairman Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) regarding maintenance of Hindu Temples in Punjab Meeting with Provincial Ombudsperson regarding women harassment and inheritance cases. Coordinator Punjab held a meeting with Deputy Commissioner/Administrator Sargodha regarding compensation to Mr. Nadeem Masih’s family who died in a sewage hole in Sargodha due to poisonous gasses. A meeting was held with District Administration Kasur regarding activation of local level Child Protection Committees for prevention of child abuse. Detailed meeting with the Chief Secretary, Special Secretary Home and IG Prisons Punjab on preventive strategy regarding torture and violation of human rights in prisons in Punjab. Meeting held with Chief Secretary Punjab and Special Secretary Home Department and IG Prisons Punjab regarding follow-up updates on Adiala Jail inquiry conducted by Islamabad High Court and NCHR. Attended launch ceremony of Punjab Child Labour Survey Report 2019-20 arranged by Labour Department and UNICEF. NCHR Member Punjab attended and delivered a lecture on Human Rights with focus on rights of the minorities at Police Training College, Chung in Lahore. Meeting with Australian Charge d'Affaires to Pakistan Mr. Bryce Hutchesson on human rights Meeting with EU Delegation and EU Special Representative for Human Rights Mr. Eamon Gilmore at NCHR Head Office, Islamabad on 21st February, 2022. Member Punjab introduced NCHR’s mandate to the special representative and discussed at length the issues pertaining to the human rights system and GSP+ scheme Meeting with Ms. Zahida Manzoor, Child Protection Officer, UNICEF, Lahore regarding implementation of legislation pertaining to children in Punjab. Meeting with Daniela Luciani, Chief Child Protection, UNICEF Islamabad regarding work on violence against children. Meeting with a delegation of European Union (EUD) headed DMD Asia Pacific, Islamabad on 12th September, 2022. Meeting held with Ms. Amanda DeSadeleer, First Secretary Canadian High Commission to Pakistan where the mandate and work of NCHR was discussed in detail. Meeting with Mr. Kevin Ching, Political & Economic Section Officer, US Consulate General, Lahore. He was briefed about the mandate and working of the commission. 54
