  NCHR wrote a letter to the Chief Election Commissioner to change the date of local body elections which were scheduled on Christmas day. After the intervention of the Minority Office the date was changed. Suo moto action was taken against the construction of a waste disposal station by WASA on land adjacent to a Christian school in Faisalabad. Meeting with Parliamentary Secretary for Human Rights, MNA Syeda Nousheen Iftikhar to discuss multifarious issues of minority community resolved by NCHR and to advise on issues/problems faced by minority communities. Meeting with Senator Kamran Michael, to discuss the non-implementation of the 5% job quota for minorities, and the issue of discriminatory advertisements. A copy of NCHR’s report on the subject was also shared with the Senator who appreciated NCHR for taking up the issue. Meeting titled, “To Ascertain the Latest Status and Role-Over Plan of the Ensuing Population Census” hosted by Mr Shoaib Suddle, One Man Commission. Meeting with CEO Peace and Justice Network to discuss a project to provide relief packages to flood affected transgender communities in 32 flood affected districts of the country. Consultation regarding awareness on census, organised by the Chamber of Commerce, Islamabad. Meeting with Bishop Kaleem and discussed overall situation of minority rights. The bishop appreciated the bold steps taken by NCHR for the protection of minority rights Meeting of Senate Special Committee on the issue of Enforced Disappearances. Meeting with Bishop Nazeer from Karachi to discuss multifarious issues of minorities. Meeting with Senator Danish Kumar and Senator Gurdeep Singh at Senate Secretariat to discuss problems related to Gurdawaras and Mandirs. Meeting with the Ambassador of the EU. Meeting with Peace and Justice Network and signed an LOI to work collaboratively for the inclusion of transgender persons in flood relief programs. 45
